Our company sponsored and hosted this event at S-Pulse Dream Field Fujieda, inviting six teams of local second-grade elementary school students.
At the opening ceremony, our executive officer, Shukushima, offered words of encouragement, and the children are aiming for victory.
The sight of the children earnestly chasing the ball and bravely aiming for goals electrified the venue, making for a day brimming with passion and energy.
As a company based in Shizuoka, we will continue to foster and support the local children who will shape our future.

We held a 3-day workplace experience program for junior high school students from two local schools in Shizuoka City at our SURUGA-YA MAIN STORE, SURUGA-YA Bldg.
The students challenged various tasks, including product display and supporting e-commerce operations.
Even though appearing nervous initially, the student impressively shown their active engagement with SURUGA-YA workplace.
Through this experience, they seemed to learn about both the joys and difficulties of working.
As a company based in Shizuoka Pref, we will continue to provide opportunities for learning and experiencing for the children who will lead our future.

We held the "SURUGA-YA Parent-Child Soccer Clinic" at S-Pulse Dream Field Shizuoka, targeting preschool and kindergarten-aged children and their parents.
Parents and children enjoyed a fun warm-up with exercises incorporating animal imitations. The venue was filled with smiles and laughter as parents actively participated alongside their children.
The event concluded with a mini-game exclusively for the children. It was a joyful day filled with the earnest expressions of the children intently chasing the ball, along with cheers and laughter.
Moving forward, our company will continue to contribute to the local community in Shizuoka and support the development of children who will shape the future.

On Thursday, March 20th, the "Keyaki IRODORI Fes" was held on Keyaki Street in front of the SURUGA-YA MAIN STORE SURUGA-YA Bldg. Many visitors enjoyed the event under the warm spring weather.
As a sponsor, by cooperating with Shizuoka Broadcasting SBS Radio's public live broadcast and facilitating interactions between our character, Suruganyan, and Shizuoka-born character Panpakakun with children, we helped make the event a success.
We will continue to strive for regional contributions to our local Shizuoka in the future.

We proudly sponsored the "Shizuoka Prefecture Southern Alps Digital Photo and Video Contest," organized by Shizuoka Prefecture. We supported both environmental conservation efforts and the promotion of the Southern Alps' allure.
This contest was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Southern Alps' registration as a UNESCO Eco Park. Its goal was to widely share the charm of the Southern Alps within Shizuoka Prefecture and encourage more people to visit.
We presented a SURUGA-YA gift certificate, redeemable for shopping at SURUGA-YA, to the winner of the "SURUGA-YA Special Award."
As a company rooted in Shizuoka, we will continue to support natural environment protection and similar initiatives in the future.

Our company is a member of the "Association for the Love of Sunpu Castle", which aims to maintain and improve the Sunpu Castle ruins, and we actively engage in community support activities.
Recently, we collaborated on the publication of "Our Sunpu Castle", a manga booklet designed for learning about the history of Sunpu Castle. As a result, this booklet will be distributed to all 6th-grade elementary school students in Shizuoka City.
We were honored to receive a letter of appreciation from the Shizuoka City Board of Education during the manga booklet presentation ceremony held at Shizuoka City Shimizuoka Elementary School.

The Southern Alps, a precious natural area, spans across the northern part of Shizuoka City, where our head office is located, and the Kawanehon-cho area.
We made a donation to the Shizuoka Prefectural Government to support initiatives for preserving the environment and promoting the unique charm of the precious Southern Alps.
On Wednesday, January 29 , a ceremony was held at the Shizuoka Prefectural Government Office to present a certificate of appreciation. Our company representative, Mr. Sugiyama (e.g., President/Director), handed over the donation and accepted the certificate.
As a company based in Shizuoka Prefecture, we are committed to continuing our diverse contributions to the local community, including ongoing support for environmental preservation initiatives like those in the Southern Alps.

The 7th "Soar to the World! SURUGA-YA Soccer School" was held with the aim of providing learning and experience opportunities for children who will shape the future. A total of 350 children received practical guidance from over 50 esteemed coaches.
After the soccer school concluded, the excitement continued with matches between the children and a "legends" team, as well as special matches featuring former and current Japan national team players.
Attendees also enjoyed over 20 stadium gourmet vendors, making it an event truly unique to Shizuoka, the "Kingdom of Soccer."
SURUGA-YA will continue to actively engage in community contribution activities through these events.

Our company is committed to local community contribution activities through our reuse business. As part of this, we donated 75 Christmas presents, including video games and anime DVDs, to Shizuoka Home, a children's welfare facility in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City.
When our representative, Sugiyama, handed over the gifts, the children cheerfully responded, "We just went to SURUGA-YA the other day!"
The smiles and words of thanks from the children who received the presents created a heartwarming moment of exchange.

当社が願う地域活性化の想いをテーマに、多くの静岡県内在住のクリエイターにご応募いただきました。
10/24（木）には、静岡新聞社にて大賞の授賞式が行われました。
また、応募作品から当社が選んだ優秀作品を「駿河屋 本店」にも展示し、多くの方に作品をご覧いただける場を設けました。
今後も、当社はクリエイターたちの才能を発揮する機会を提供してまいります。

We are proud to announce that SURUGA-YA has once again sponsored the "Daidogei World Cup in Shizuoka," a major event in Shizuoka City, for 2024.
At "SURUGA-YA MAIN STORE SURUGA-YA Bldg," we set up the "SURUGA-YA Point," where visitors could enjoy performances, and the "SURUGA-YA Art Point," featuring art created with Rubik's Cubes. Additionally, we provided prizes and prize distribution locations for the stamp rally held during the event, which brought many people to our store.
We also opened a temporary "SURUGA-YA Pop-up Stall" in central Shizuoka City for a limited time, helping to energize the downtown area.
As a company based in Shizuoka Prefecture, we will continue to engage in various community contributions in our hometown of Shizuoka.

SURUGA-YA sponsored the "Miteta Halloween 2024" event held in Shizuoka City.
Our stores, "SURUGA-YA MAIN STORE SURUGA-YA Bldg," and "SURUGA-YA MAIN STORE Konyamachi," participated. On the day of the event, children in their favorite costumes joyfully visited our stores, saying "Mi-Te-Ta!" as a password to receive candy.
It was a heartwarming event filled with the smiles of happy children. As a company based in Shizuoka Prefecture, we will continue to contribute to the local community in Shizuoka in various ways.

On April 10, 2024, we introduced the DHL Group's GoGreen Plus transportation service to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
"GoGreenPlus" is a transportation service provided by DHL Express that uses "Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)," which is produced using biomass fuel made from waste cooking oil and plants such as corn and sugar cane, to reduce CO2 emissions associated with air transportation from NYK by 70%.
GoGreenPlus usage fees are used to invest in SAF in order to reduce CO2 emissions associated with package transportation.
We will make active efforts to reduce CO2 in order to realize a sustainable society.

This event, hosted by our company, was held at S-Pulse Dream Field Fujieda.
At the opening ceremony, our executive officer, syukushima, cheered on the children from the six participating teams.
The mini soccer tournament saw some intense matches. We were energized by the sight of the children giving their all in the games.
At the closing ceremony, the rankings of each team were announced and awards were presented. It was impressive to see the children praising each other's play and exchanging warm applause.

This event, hosted by Shimizu S-Pulse for whom our company serves as an "Exciting Goal Partner", was held for parent-child pairs consisting of one child ages 4-6, in their final two years of kindergarten and one guardian.
In the first half, parents and children warmed up together. All the guardians moved their bodies at their child's pace, energetically responding "Here!" when the coach asked, "Who got it?"
Finally, the children split into teams and played matches. It was a memorable day for both the children aiming for goals and the parents cheering them on.

Our company sponsored "Fuyu (Winter) Shizu 2023-2024 Omachi Wonderland."
As a beloved winter tradition in Shizuoka City, this year marked the 34th "Aoba Symbol Road Illumination." The central Shizuoka City area, "Omachi," was beautifully adorned for the year-end and New Year holidays, featuring for the first time in six years attractions like skating rink.
The grand finale event included the "Tokiwa Park Projection Mapping," where visitors were captivated by a collaboration of fountains, light, visuals, and music.
The visual spectacle, rich with Shizuoka's unique charm—including local specialties appearing in the story—was enjoyed by everyone in the community.

We donated approximately 70 items including game and anime DVDs, to Shizuoka Home, an foster home in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City.
Our chairman, Mr. Sugiyama, dressed as Santa Claus, personally handed the gifts to the children.
The children, who were unaware of the surprise until that day, showered us with many words of thanks and smiles. We enjoyed a heartwarming time interacting with them.

We hosted the "6th SURUGA-YA SOCCER SCHOOL" organized by our company. A magnificent team of 40 coaches directly instructed 350 children. Participating children expressed their joy, saying things like, "The legends taught us! It's very easy to understand," and "I want to participate again."
Additionally, we also held some dream show matches, featuring legends who once played for the Japan national team and current star players.
The brilliant play of Shizuoka-born genius Shinji Ono, who is retiring this season, greatly energized the venue.
The event was also packed with other attractions, including over 40 stadium food stalls and talk shows.
As a company based in Shizuoka, we will continue to provide events that boost Shizuoka and offer opportunities for learning and experience for the children of our future.

Our company proudly sponsored the "DAIDOGEI WORLD CUP IN SHIZUOKA", a signature autumn event in Shizuoka City.
To encourage visits to Shizuoka, we displayed event announcement posters in SURUGA-YA Group stores nationwide. During the event, we set up SURUGA-YA pop-up stalls in various locations, adding to the vibrancy of Shizuoka City.
Additionally, "SURUGA-YA Points" were established at the "SURUGA-YA MAIN STORE SURUGA-YA Bldg" which opened in October. Many spectators visited these points to enjoy the performances.

Our company sponsored "App Koshien 2023," a smartphone app development contest for junior and senior high school students, which was recently held.
The judges were deeply impressed by the numerous apps created by the junior and senior high school students, with their unique and innovation design and functionality.
Their high presentation skills also garnered significant attention.
We have high expectations for the future success of all participants.
Our company will continue to support young creators in junior and senior high school, who will lead the future, and contribute to their discovery and development.

The 'Parent-Child Football School' was organised by Shimizu S-Pulse, for which we are an 'Exciting Goal Partner', for parents and children of kindergarten age.
First, parents and children warm up together to develop their quick reaction time. Practise passing between parents' legs and throwing a ball. Parents and children move their bodies together and say, "Good job!"" What is that?" and laughter echoed in the air.
At the end, the children are divided into three teams and play against each other. The children shoot the ball and their parents shout " That's close!" and other cheers. It was a day to remember.

The dormitory was completed as a new facility for the Shizuoka Home, a children's home in Aoi Ku, Shizuoka City, and to celebrate the move and the new building, we donated video game consoles and anime/idol DVDs.
In the homely atmosphere of the newly-built living room, Sugiyama, the representative of our company, said to the children, "Please study and exercise hard in the new dormitory" and handed over the gifts directly to the children.
The children seemed to be enjoying themselves around the presents and the conversation was lively!

The most special soccer school in Japan was held, inviting both current players and legendary players who once took Japan by storm as instructors.The fifth edition of the event featured more than 40 guest instructors as well as more than 20 stadium vendors offering gourmet food from the stadium.After the soccer class, two special matches were held in front of a large crowd of galleries.Japan's proud legend Kazuyoshi Miura aka KING KAZU also participated, making the event more exciting than ever before.
Children who participated were very happy and commented, "I was very happy to be taught by the legends. ""I learned a lot of techniques that I will be able to use in my next game."
Surugaya will continue to provide opportunities for valuable learning and experiences for the children who are our future.

We donated about 100 items including game consoles, toys, and anime DVDs to Shizuoka Home, a children's home in Aoi Ku, Shizuoka City.
As it was Christmas Eve, we had our president, Mr. Sugiyama, dressed as Santa Claus, hand-deliver the gifts to the children.
We received many words of thanks and smiles from the children, and Mr. Suzuki, the director of the facility, expressed his gratitude, saying, "Receiving kindness from the community will lead to the children's independence and growth."
As part of our social contribution activities, we will continue to provide support based on our belief in the reuse business, which is to "connect things that are no longer needed by someone else to those who need them."
